We come to a stop and no longer roll and skid down the highway. To my surprise we land on all fours facing the correct direction after a slam into the mountain side. The truck is straddeled over the deep ditch with the front end in a "T" bone with another car. Still no sounds from the kids. I try to wake my husband and blessed that he did. I could smell gass and large amounts of smoke were coming from everywhere. He reaches over and turns off the key and we try to get out of the truck. He is unable to get out his door or window as shown in the photo here. His knees went through the dash and made a perfect impression in the metal. I was pinned under the wheel but given the strength to wiggle out while loosing my shoes and shorts. I could not open the door but had enough room to go out the window. I was not sure what would be under me when I got out. It ended up being a long way down. The TV that was once between the driver and passengar seats was thrown out the window-that is what hit my head-and what I was able to step on to reach the ground. The kids were coming around and very calm. I called out to each of them and prayed for a response.
