Gotta love this time of the year. The temperature is just about perfect. No being over heated or freezing. It was a beautiful day with a small chance of showers.

We planned on paddling up to the lock and then, using our kayak carts, portaging past the lock and continuing on to Jock River Landing for lunch then return. However, we forgot to bring enough straps for the kayak carts so we chose to stop at the lock for lunch and then paddle back past our launch point and then return back, still getting in the length of paddle we wanted.

We saw some Canada Geese, some Mallards and a Blue Heron. We did see a few kayakers, canoes and SUP boards.
