"ET Phone Home"

Chills and Fever Broke with Laughter as
we recalled the little Extraterrestral;
then Pathos lingered within my heart as Mom
asked, "will you take me home."
Life can be the pits!

At times we find ourslves,
"twixt two extremes of passion,
joy and grief,"
(like storied in Shakespeare's "King Lear," [v, iii, 199]) ~
the Joy of 'life shared-together,' the
grief found in human fraility stumbling, and running its course.
