This is a beautiful image. So moving and full of delight. My mother passed away nearly five years ago. She never fully recovered from her stroke and I would like to think we all gave her some joy in the last few months. This picture reminds me of those times. Best wishes. Barry

Having just lost my grand mother at a ripe old age of 94, I find this is a very powerful and confronting piece. Makes me want to smile and weep at the same time. Beautiful shot. vote.
type18-Nov-2006 16:55
My first contact with your work and it's powerfully moving, exquisite in its tenderness, joy and sadness. It reminds me of a British artist called Richard Billingham who has done the most amazing, almost unbearably raw portraits of his family.
olivier bruning22-Oct-2006 06:28

Fantastic photo - although I had trouble seeing the photo trough the tears in my eyes. Made me cry and reminded me a lot of my mom who has such a joy of life regardless of it's lack of "respect" for her.

I find this image haunting. My 93 year old mother spent 28 days in a hospital and hospice before she died last August. I guess it reminds me of the fragility of life. A sign of a good photo is when it moves us. Voted.
