Holy Week — The Anointing
Six days before the Passover, Jesus dined with Lazarus,
Martha, and Mary. Mary took a pound of perfume made of pure nard
and anointed Jesus’ feet, wiping his feet with her hair.
The house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.
Judas complained voicing concern for the poor. Jesus said,
leave her alone, the poor will still be with you—let her
keep the oil for my burial. (John 12:1-8)
The best things in life are freely given.
“You never abandon a gift that made you cry with joy. Never!”
Zidrou, THE ADOPTION
“Your presence is a gift to others if you are wrapped in love.”
