Although they are pests and can carry diseases, these guys still are very cute. They are also smart. I have a close acquaintance who has one as a domesticated pet. I enjoy seeing racoons in Nature (or even as a visitor to the home with a well-cared-for tame one). However, cute as they may be, I also prefer racoons far away from our house. We had two different incidents where wild racoons set up house in our attic. Having them removed and cleanup cost really big $$$$. But in Nature (not suburbia with us), I truly do like them.
