Crockpot on high
1 can each (rinsed)
Chic Peas
Black beans
Crushed Tomatoes
Chopped Leek (@ 6 inches)
4 Chopped mushrooms
2/3 C Barley (rinsed)
2/3 C V-8 Juice
2/3 C Water
Salt
Pepper
Garlic
German Thyme
1 TBSP Nutritional Yeast
Cooked about 4 hours on high or until Barley is swelled and tender.
Place Pita chips or Corn Chips or Corn bread in large bowls and cover with the Beans & Barley.
Served with steamed vegetables (the pic shows Sliced tomato,
Chopped Okra & Zucchini seasoned with Liquid Aminos, Pepper, Garlic)
