Tell me it's moonlight shining
through cirrus clouds. Say those clouds
are made of ice crystals that act
as prisms for the moonlight.
Explain how the moon must be
at a certain angle to the ice crystals
for this rare phenomenon
to occur.
You may quote the scientists all you like
but I know very well it happens only
when the Rainbow Leprechauns celebrate
someone finding the pot of gold.
