The Apostle Paul said, "I delivered to you
as of first importance what I also received:
that Christ died for our sins in accordance with
the Scriptures, that he was buried,
that he was raised on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures,
and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.
Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time . . .
Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. " (1 Corinthians 15:3-7)
After Mary Magdalene saw the risen Christ she went as sent
to the disciples "with the news, 'I have seen the LORD!'"
(John 20:16-18) "With great power the apostles continued to testify
to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus.
And God's grace was powerfully at work in them all." (Acts 4:33)
"We do not want you to be uninformed about those who are asleep,
that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.
For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so,
through Jesus, God will bring with him [when He returns]
those who have fallen asleep." (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
