The water drop photos in this gallery were taken using a Canon 540EZ flashgun in manual 1/128th power mode (to give a very high speed flash). They were taken in a dark room during a 8 second exposure. The falling water drop passed through a laser beam, triggering a Arduino microprocessor based variable delay flash controller. The sequence shots involved a drop of about 30cm, and the delay before firing the flash was varied from about 190mS to 380mS.
