03 March 2007...Fascinating find in my backyard this evening! I believe this is a Timberdoodle also known as an American Woodcock. I noticed him eating in my now MARSHY (About 1" of standing water out there) backyard. After taking some photos from an open window, I tried to sneak up on him a bit but he took off into the woods...
