01Oct05 Deer Crossing - 6052

Photo a Day, Day 185...Just realized I have completed 6 full months of Photo a Day!
Was almost thinking I wasn't going to have something for today as we decided to put paving stones down under our deck before stacking a cord of wood for the winter under there... So I sat and dug out rocks and leveled while my husband made trips to Home Depot for pavers... It isn't quite level but it is under the deck - just wanted something easier to clear the snow off of to go out and get wood...
Back to the photo - this deer was out eating the weeds at the edge of the driveway right at dusk - she popped her head up when she heard the first shutter go off (Will post that one next as an extra) - but then took off when she heard Sandal come out onto the deck with me... I love my 20D and having ISO 3200!!! Little grainy but hey it is actually a shot for the day!

Very nice one CJ! I'm impressed with how well the 20D's iso 3200 performs. Wish I had the extra bucks to move up to one, maybe a few more shows would help.
But you did a wonderful job of capturing her, glad your getting some use out of the lens! It almost never leaves my camera!

Hey that long lens helped much too. I'm amazed that you good get this so quickly .

That 3200 is something else-this cleans up really nicely--not a lot of grain at all. Remarkable s/s for such a long tele. Terrific.
