19May2005 Canoe in Mystic

Mystic, CT

Photo a Day, Day 51... Walked around Mystic a bit today. Had a hard time choosing which photo to use but after going back and forth I think I like this one the best.. Just a canoe sitting out by the river.. Unfortunately the resampled size doesn't show all of the scratches and marks on the bottom of the canoe like the full size orginal but the fullsize is a huge file..

Also went searching for a case for my shiny new toy... no one has anything big enough for it right here in town :( the lens is an "issue" considering it is 4.9" long and 3.3" diameter.. so open to suggestions from anyone... been looking at a few of lowepro's backpacks (micro 200 I think is my favorite there) or the Lowepro 70AW toploader... Planning on also purchasing the 100-400 lens (Your fault Tom!) I think the backpack would hold both... but anyways anyone with suggestions I'd appreciate it!

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM
1/640s f/11.0 at 35.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

This is stunning, right down to the swan on the river. The detail is incredible!!! :)

Wonderful perspective on this and the colors are amazing! CJ i'll gladly take the blame for the 100-400, again you'll not regret it. But then I like spending other peoples money, : ) I hardly ever take mine off my 10D anymore. The Lowepro mini AW is what I have and it is all I'll likely need. It holds my kit that was in the picture I posted plus all my accessories, plus handbooks and its comfortable to carry on my back.
