Old Ways of the West. There is a certain romanticism associated with the old bygone ways of the west.
In 1772 Capt. Pedro Fages led the 1st Spanish exploration party into Contra Costa County. The journey begins with vists to Old Borges Ranch, a former
working cattle ranch is nestled at the base of Mt. Diablo in Walnut Creek, CA. Surrounded by East Bay Regional & Walnut Creek Open Space.

Other historical sites are now being visited.

Wonderful, there is something quintessentially timeless about these images Flo. As I first surveyed the gallery, I thought "Pennsylvania" only to find I was wrong. No matter, there are some shapes/colors proportions which recur in this diverse, yet in some ways uniform country which are almost iconic. Great!! V
