Critter Space Pod by Lixit

A small animal house that can be hung from the top of a wire cage or turned over & placed in the bottom. Large size: 11"x 11"x 8"

Review

Very cool looking pad, made from plastic that snaps together. Can hung if the cage top is wire or can be used free standing. The large size is suitable for 3 small or 2 larger snuggling rats. I have had 4 adult, 2 females & 2 males scrunched up inside snuggling.

I have had mine in use for 7 months hanging in a Critter Nation cage & is has not come dislodge. Just have to make sure the 'legs' are spread enough to put tension on the clips. I put cloth pads in it, sometimes the rats just toss it out. They seem to like just laying on the plastic. Comes apart for cleaning/storage. Super easy to clean!
Not chew proof as it has been nibbled on it a bit, but lasting longer than cloth hammocks. There is always at least one rat in it, hammocks are available as is a hideout.

My rats love it, holding up well. Recommended

We've had a space pod for a while now and our ratties love it and so do we. Easy to clean, easy to use, easy to remove quickly when we want to get to our skittish baby (she loves to go inside of it, so we just grab the space pod and pull her out in it, and she's a lot less freaked about things. *sigh* We are working with her, but she is very, very skittish.)

My rats agree with your rats! Vince and Howard love theirs hanging from the top of their cage. What I found appealing is that these are so easy to clean and sanitize while being hard to destroy. I've had rats in the past who were determined to chew through any kind of cloth hammock or hangingcloth toy so they could take it back to their nest, no matter how much additional cloth I provided them with. This would be a great solution for that problem. Plus, it looks like a little space pod! How cute is that?
