I recognize the story told. You get up on a lazy sunday morning and the cat wants to go out so you open the door. Oops, forgot that the alarm was on. :) Like the angle better then from the other one.

I was in real estate, and it happened to me a few times, you go in without knowing, and an alarms goes off. I usually waited for the police, but once, after 30 minutes, after my customer had done his visit anyway, we just left... with a note. Never heard about it later neither.
