Caught In The Act!

Just a fun moment... (haven't had much spare time recently for photos)

Last weekend I put down a container with some peanuts in it, on the deck while I
was going to check a flower basket. Well....no sooner did I walk away, when this
gal flew right down and helped herself to a peanut. I was really surprised.
Of course my trusty camera was around my neck... :o)

Smart bird (and a "heart smart" margarine choice for you) - those grackles keep a sharp eye open for any opportunity. I like the way the photo shows the peculiar twisted tail.

What an amazing capture Carol! Great title too. I would be interested to know what the bird is, we have nothing like it this side of the pond. Also what lens did you use? Cheers, John

I agree...A Merit Badge & a VOTE, for the lady who never leaves the house without her camera! (You just never know!) Wow! What a comical and incredible catch, Carol! Amazing details and light, and would ya look at that peanut! Fantastic shot!

You should get a Girl Scout, Merit Badge for "camera preparedness" for this shot. ;o)
