St. Lucia Port

The Norwegian ship was docked in the harbour, it was quite a beautiful big ship.
St. Lucia, like many Caribbean islands, has a history of changing hands. The Caribs chased out the first British settlers. The French later assumed control of the island. This started a 200-year rivalry between the French and the English. The Island's government changed hands 14 times before the English prevailed. Today, St. Lucia is an independent member of the Commonwealth.

Carol,
The composition make the ship standing out and tell the story about the surrounding area.

Gorgeous harbour and indeed a beautiful ship. Thanks for the history lesson, as well. I can see why there would be a desire to occupy this island and plant your flag. Voted
