Back To - Main Galleries | All Travel Galleries | Short Trips It is a vast rugged landscape with thousands of lakes surrounded by glacier-scarred rocky hills.
The only way to really explore the interior of this park is by 'canoe or on foot'.
The Park was created, not just to ensure a primitive environment, but as a wildlife sanctuary,
as well... it was desirable to preserve the headwaters of the five major rivers that flow into the Park.
We took a 7 hour hike up to the top to view the magic of Autumn colours below.

CIS, Your autumun shots are superb. Since we have no autmun to speak of in Hawaii, I always travel to my favorite artists that live up North to see what they have been doing in the autmun. I wasn't disappointed. Aloha and thanks for sharing.
