Hi! I'm a girl from Norway, and I wondered if I might be permitted to use your beautiful animal photos in a website www.minstall.no ? I can write that you have taken the photos.

Sincerely Martine Olsen :) ( Answear on e-mail ) funtiigo@hotmail.com

Thx for your comments Andrew :)
It was great to drive during wintertime ... a bit crazy though in such conditions ... but it will stay in my mind for a long time :)
I think the next circle will be during summertime! Then it's gonna be 24 hours of light each day ... No road will resist this time ;) Will just have to pay attention when crossing rivers :)

Well ... I'm dying to see your pictures from Scotland ... when you'll be back :)
Let me know ;)

Best regards,
Aurelie

Hi Andrew,How I envy your Highlands pics.I haven't seen the Highlands dry since 1969.Several times I've ventured North to be met by non stop rain every time.

hi hi Andrew,
thx for your nice comments, i really appreciate.
i fully agree with you, the Beinn Eighe National Park is absolutely amazing.
i didn't comment the picture you were refering to http://www.pbase.com/circusman/image/68396864) just because the words were missing ; just wanted to say WOW WOW WOW ... just WOW ! it was a little bit poor, so i preferred not to say anything :) but it's really grandiose, like landmanalaugar ... feel humble and human in these kind of landscapes ;)
so to answere your question : i'm using a DIMAGE A1 (fixed lens 35-200 mm), shooting all my pics in RAW format with the adobe space (not Srgb) and play a bit with photoshop afterwards :) whatelse ? this camera is really good for landscapes i think ; it's one of these digital cameras that give you a blue sky really blue and not this awful washed out blue i've seen many times ! 9950 pics taken with this camera and still working well :) the only regret i have is that the ISO doesn't go lower than 100. In iceland it would be wise to be able to get down to 50 ...
bad point of this camera : not really made for inside shooting (the autofocus is slow !!).
maybe i need to get used to it, but i'm not patient enough :)

and what about you ? are you happy with your canon cameras ?

Andrew,
Thanks for the visit and your comments. Lunch time would be perfect for photography if it was not for the harsh Australian light at midday.

Regards
Jarek

Hi Andrew - JW mentioned you had joined and were local to us, so welcome to PBASE. There are some great shots in here.. the ones of the cows, architecture and poppies in particular. Actually all 3 of those subjects John is fond of as well - could be some interesting comparisons in the months to come!
