I shot this Female Hooded Merganser with the 200 f/2.8 and 1.4x TC. The male never came close enough for me to capture. I will be going back with my long lens soon.

Both the male and female of the Hooded Merganser are beautiful. Haven't seen a male since the late 70s when I stopped duck hunting.

Sharp head feathers. I have never seen one of these. Almost like a porcupine.
