The Caldwell House was just across the gravel road from the barn and the meadow on the previous shots. The house was completed in 1906 and has shingled gables in the "Westlake" style that was quite popular during that time. This is the last shot I was able to take with my 18-55 lens. Right after this, I decided to cross the small foot bridge on the right. On the middle of the bridge, the lens popped out of my jacket pocket, bounced once off the bridge and landed in the middle of the water. Despite valient resuscitation efforts by Rich, the lens was a goner. One lesson learned - never put a lens in your pocket! Second lesson learned - expedited shipping is a wonderful thing.
