Used Coffee Capsule

Boulder

This is from a Nespresso Vertuo machine, which makes lots of little holes in the capsule, and then spins it round at tremendous speed to make the coffee. This is a 25 shot focus stack.

I think 230ml is the largest capsule my Nespresso machine accepts. While I would like to be able to use 355ml capsules, I'm otherwise happy. An extra 50ml or so can be squeezed out of some coffees. Others get too watery. What are your favorite varieties? I do not like flavored coffee and only drink it if received as a sample.

I take a thermos of coffee to work with me. Part of the reason I chose my Zojirushi carafe coffee maker is that it brews hotter coffee than most other machines -- I sometimes like having a hot cuppa in the middle of the afternoon. Another handy thing about it is its removable water reservoir.

Hi Dave, the 150ml size is the gran lungo, which my wife likes to drink before a running workout, because it's not a lot of fluid. I stick with the full size pods (230ml), and always have one of the ones with extra caffeine before a workout. I also sometimes use the even larger ones (12 oz) if I want a travel mug. I also like it for espresso (I always make a double).

I have a Vertuo, which I generally only use on weekends. I find 150 ml too small a cup.

I like how Nespresso recycles the capsules but think I forget to request another bag in my most recent order.

Creative and interesting yet it make me glad I never developed a real desire for coffee. As a young electrician I would take a thermos of coffee in cold weather, but it really wasn’t my thing and didn’t continue it for very long. Paul
