I've added an image of the pooch in her pen in Exhibition -- https://pbase.com/image/175949790https://pbase.com/image/175949790.

Dave I know what you mean with the tire divots since I’m guilty of a few even though I use K turns never zero turns. I choose a zero turn over a tractor because of the simpler maintenance, better visibility out front and I certainly didn’t anticipate the need to tow anything which tractors excel at. Paul

Okay, mon frère, no doggie poop for Mr Elictric's lawn...(damn, I was going to collect it from all over and have so much fun!) Traveller

I don't care for those zero-turn mowers. Even when their deck isn't hanging low, their tires can chew up a lawn. Yes, I realize that's the operator's fault. All lawn services are in a hurry. Time is money.

I see that Traveller and I have different dog experiences. I clean up after ours because we don't want enjoyment of our yard spoiled by soiled shoes. Sorry about the hit-and-run and distemper losses.

No no no, no dog $hit on my lawn. NO!

Actually I am very upset with myself with my lawn. Back in April I bought a zero turn riding mower with my plantar fasciitis foot problem I couldn’t push mow, still really can’t very well. Anyway unbeknownst to me as I was mulching the leaves into the lawn and because we had so many leaves I couldn’t see the turf and I didn’t realize a cutting deck support pin had come loose and fell out. This means the right sides of my mower was virtually scalping my lawn while the left was mowing normal. What an utter doofus I was for not recognizing it before I did. 1/2 of my lawn rightfully looks like an idiot mowed it.

I hope we get some rain before it turns bitter cold again so it might stand a chance to grow so I can mow it again. I’d hate it to look like it does now for the rest of the winter.

Yes, I have had dogs, several of them, but always on a farm...Prince, a Lassie-like collie, killed by passing and speeding traffic in Ohmstead Falls, Ohio....also there, my other dog contacted distemper and had to be shot behind the barn...snarling and frothing...the dog now an animal no one recognized. They all did their business wherever they wished...as did the chickens. Only the pigs were restricted...with great difficulty...pigs are smart.

Interestingly, on the far more remote Kentucky farm, I remember no one ever having a dog...I think food was too precious to feed a dog way out there.

"Puppy" is now eleven years old and knows the pen is for doing her "business". Wandering wherever is out of the question, as we share the land with coyotes (something Jim is familiar with). The pen is very practical when the time comes for clean-up. The person with the bag knows just where to look. I'm guessing you never had a dog.

A modestly serious question...why not send the puppy over to paul's yard...I would imagine that puppy poo would make the finest fertilizer! (but more seriously, this is your yard...why not let the puppy poo wherever? Unless it is winter...and the stuff would freeze?)

Only good faith serious responses considered....!...(grin)

Traveller

On a connected note, would Paul let a puppy poo in his yard? (Trying to bring some laughs to Paul's household)

You do have lots of geographic forms around you! Fractures are a geometry but what is a Poop Pen for?!? Traveller
