T - thanks. I am sure the pup was nursing. After about 5 min she rolled and flipped him off. I have a good photo of her with the pup just crawling up. She looked happy.

A superb image...I haven't seen a better pup and mother sea lion image. Great Catch! Traveller
PS it appears the pup may be nursing...what is the psychological effect on this mammalia mother? Traveller
