The system was not active when this image was captured but is now. It has a rain sensor, so it doesn't add water when Nature is providing plenty. I suspect the chewing was by a lawnmower rather than rodents.
Looks like squirrels are chewing on it. Is your system on and working? I activated and tested mine on a couple of weeks back but have the controller off since Mother Nature has been providing plenty of rain for us so it’s not yet needed. Almost time for a 2nd application of fertilizer/pre emergent, been close to 6 weeks.
