Nope. I have the app but have never used it.
Why would she need the app if she has me?

Pure speculation on my part but I’m guessing Mrs. Dave has an app for that since that’s a WiFi enabled T Stat. Paul

Our house is so imbalanced (it is zoned front and rear rather than upstairs/downstairs) that the temperature setting depends on what room you want to be comfortable in. 71F in the den can translate to 75F in the master bedroom and 77F in the adjacent office. Turning the thermostat down to 70F can result in the master bedroom reaching that temperature after a few hours. Our son was home for Thanksgiving and complained that his room (in the front zone) was freezing. We need to keep the rear zone at least 1F higher than the front zone to keep the laundry room (where the dog sleeps) from getting too cold. Of course Mrs. Dave's comfort (which is all but unpredictable) usually dictates the setting.

Traveller, how do you adjust your home's temperature without a thermostat?

I used the wife card but I’m just as bad if not worse, I proclaim yes I am a Woosey.
When I read Alastair’s comments I am reminded of some friends who also are avid long distance runners, often running 1/2 marathons and interestingly when you go to their place in the winter you better have numerous layers on because their stat is set similar to Alastair’s. Last time there in cold weather was a superbowl party and the only way you’d know I was a chiefs fan was the hat everything else was well covered and I do mean well. Paul

We wimps differ...lol...however, I do close off the back of the house, and the upstairs TV/Study room so they are seldom heated at all. {I need to note that I don't have a thermostat any where} Traveller

Warmer than 71 in the winter? We have our heating set to 68 in the winter. Occasionally, if we're feeling really indulgent, we'll bump it up to 69 or even 70. Never more than that. We do have a gas fireplace in our living room, which we often have on during the day, when the heat is off in the rest of the house (we have it set to come on from 6-10 in the morning, and 6-10 in the evening). There are only two of us in the house, and I'm often away at work, so it seems silly to heat the whole house. If it ever gets below 62, it will come on, though. We have really good insulation and triple-paned windows (first thing we did to the house when we moved in over seventeen years ago).

Yes, this is pretty damned chilly to me too. (I will this time let YOU change your name under the image). Traveller

Dave my wife would not be happy if I had ours at the same settings. Wants warmer in winter and cooler in summer. You know the old saying, Happy Wife Happy Life. Paul
