Ah, but Traveller, how do you know that Jim Fixx wouldn't have died at 42, if he hadn't been a runner? We are largely governed by our genes (darnit!), but can tinker around the edges with lifestyle adjustments. Despite my obsessive running and vegan diet (which I took up for ethical reasons, but also like the health benefits thereof), I still have to take blood pressure and cholesterol medication, because of my bad genes (my wife has great genes, and so doesn't need either of these). I started both of those over thirty years ago, before I was a runner or a vegan. My dosages are now a little under half of what I was on before, but I can't completely outrun my biological destiny. :(

Dave, you not running, Disappointing Me!?!? I am just relieved and glad and happy that there is someone else here that is not like Alastair and his wife and son. Damn, they are all runners and look so frigging healthy...

OTOH, I am compelled to note that Jim Fixx, the author of:

"The Complete Book of Running. He is credited with helping start America's fitness revolution by popularizing the sport of running and demonstrating the health benefits of regular jogging. He died of a heart at the age of 52 (while running)."

So there is hope for me yet....(grin) Traveller

Yes they are. I should low in part to emphasize them. They fit the theme of the location -- the recently restored Michigan Central Station in Detroit. I'm not a runner, T. Sorry if that disappoints you.

A good choice of angle of view to add interest and drama to the image. Were you running also? Traveller
