I don’t put a lot of miles on my truck (average 4000 a year) so I use a battery charger / tender to keep the battery topped. According to the Ford service guys my truck is considered a high power use truck with all the connectivity option's it has, hence the AGM battery, and it needs occasional charging or more driving.
It has never not started nor has it ever cranked slow but I do get messages on my phone saying the truck is switching to low power mode to save battery. Maybe simple old tucks like Alastair’s aren’t such a bad idea after all.
