When I'm photographing our cats, I usually try to get the focus on an eye, like with the previous shot of Spock. But I thought I'd see how it looks when the focus is on the nose, and the eyes are just slightly soft. This is McCoy ("Damn it Jim, I'm a cat, not a model!"), who rarely holds still for long, this close to someone who can be scratched.
