Please, Honorable Traveller, don't put yourself at risk by taking photographs while driving. I have been considering getting a dashcam. I'd prefer one without wires with the ability to trigger on command to capture shots such as this.

Bottom line - this is one excellent image.

Thank you for noticing, Mr. Norcross, the tunnel is actually, in real life, bright yellowish, there were other car tail lights that delicately had to be removed leaving only one set...a car or eye balls.....lol

On my travel place I noted when questioned that Bright Night took less than 5 minutes to process...but this took more than an hour...of course I had other versions, this was shot through my windshield...so problems there too...but still I like it.

I thought those red dots were eyes. The monster guarding the tunnel.

Very nicely done. I usually think that selective coloring is overdone (including when I try it), but here it's just perfect with the two little red dots.

I always learn more about the greater LA area with your photos and comments. Every time I’m driving close to LAX generally I’m plenty stressed and just happy to see Century or Aviation Blvd show up since that’s where the car rental returns are located. I’ve been on Sepulveda many times and wasn’t aware it went under LAX either… unless the stress level was at 10/10 and I just wasn’t aware where I was. Which is entirely possible.

I have flown in and out of LAX many times (most recently in December, when all my flights arrived at and departed from gate 22 which is on the other side of the field) and never been aware of the road passing under the runways.

Is it three lanes in each direction? I imagine the echo from my car's exhaust would sound good there. Passing through the Lincoln Tunnel marked my work days in NYC. I rode a bus to work from NJ and enjoyed the views as we descended the spiral.

No, Sepulveda Boulevard where it goes under the landing runways at LAX.

Since you asked, I looked:

At one point, Sepulveda Boulevard was the longest street in the city and county of Los Angeles, with the Los Angeles Times reporting in 2006 that it was around 42.8 miles (68.9 km) in length.

But in truth, the Tunnel is everywhere, it is in your mind...leading to...yes, that, yes, there. You never thought you would arrive at that point...butyouare actually, with terror and hope...There.

So not the Lincoln or Holland? Definitely not the Queens Midtown or Battery. Have I ever mentioned I'm an ex-New Yorker?
