Yes, the Christian Science Reading Room. CU Boulder has a vaccine requirement for students and employees. Initially, they allowed exemptions for health, religious, or personal reasons. But after a ruling from the Federal government, they stopped allowing exemptions for personal reasons, so everyone who had been granted an exemption for personal reasons had to either get vaccinated or apply for a health or religious exemption. It's remarkable how many people realized that they were Christian Scientists all along! As I understand it, and I could be wrong, Christian Scientists are pretty much the only religious group whose official doctrine allows for vaccine refusal, though it doesn't mandate it. As far as I can tell, the official position of that church is that it's up to the individual whether to get the vaccine, but that they can claim an exemption on religious grounds. This differs from, say, the Roman Catholic Church, whose members are supposed to follow the lead of the Pope, who has urged everyone to get vaccinated. Despite allowing these exemptions, about 95% of CU Boulder students and employees are vaccinated.
