My Christmas Socks

Ha Long Bay, Vietnam

A friend gave me these LL Bean wool socks, and I started a tradition of taking my picture wearing them every year on Christmas Day. While they're often too warm for the location,
I usually keep them on for at least an hour to make it official. That usually guarantees having to explain them to someone.
It's a nice story to tell.

Last year was a milestone birthday for him, and he was looking to upgrade his photographic kit, so a very mundane gift certificate to B&H Photo was what I sent.

That is a fantastic Holliday tradition and your friend knows you indeed set the cam to raw. You do right…. Of course you do! So how do you reciprocate, what kind of things have you sent to buddy? Paul P.S. you don’t really have to answer that.

The temperature wasn't too hot there. It's in the north, and the water has a moderating influence. The same cannot be said for South Africa, where it was almost 100F on Christmas day. Thanks for not giving my friend any ideas! He sent me a bright yellow "I Shoot RAW" T-shirt this year.

In Vietnam I’m sure they were rather warm even in December. Just think if your friend wanted to prank you and bought 2 pairs, 1 red 1 green. Then gave you a mix and match pair of red/green. Paul
