These are coins thrown into a little basin. You couldn't really call it a fountain because the water just bubbles into it from below, just in the upper right corner of the picture.

This little basin is at one end of the Bridge of Flowers in Shelburne Falls.

I think that the money goes to support the Bridge of Flowers itself. It's a volunteer organization that lives on donations and an annual Plant Sale. aglake

Gotta admit this is a pretty interesting abstract. If this is like the ones we have here they collect and donate to charities the funds they get. Paul
