This is great. It also makes me hungry. Luckily, being a vegan, I can't eat Nacho Cheese Doritos. Unluckily, there are more and more vegan alternatives that taste just as good. People have the mistaken idea that vegan food is necessarily healthier, but there's plenty of vegan junk food too. Luckily, I have none in the house right now. Unluckily, I'll be wandering the aisles of a store in a couple of days, and I'm sure this image will still be in my head. Anyway, sorry for the digression. I really like the textures, lighting, and patterns in this shot.

Yes, a strange and terrible and insisting mistress can be strange and terrible and ever insisting.
Do I look good in this lighting, Honey? Do I?

No dammit, No! Close but I still love you...Not.

Please, here, over by the window, it is golden hour....

Sigh, Yes...I certainly understand and constantly have to remind myself...to put it aside, to see other life also.

Confession is good in general...

Very nice play with the light showing the texture. I would shoot a scene dozens and dozens of times changing the power and angles the lights and diffusers until I got what I wanted. Sometimes a hundred or more shots and then tossed the entire bunch. One of the reasons I gave up on DSLR photography and lighting I was never happy with the final product. Paul

T - I agree. I rarely take just one shot. One of the mantras I learned from a National Geo photo course was to "work the scene". By that he meant take a lot of shots, varying the angles, the shutter speed, the aperture, etc and then later in the digital darkroom, pick the best one.

Thanks, and a note to Sue Anne, it is perfectly normal to shoot a subject multiple times until you find something you like. These are Nacho Cheese Doritos...yum...lol...but these do have a very distinct texture. Traveller

I now officially have the munchies.

I was working on a food idea that I don't like as much as what you have there. Back to the drawing board.

Nicely seen and captured.

this should not have taken 15 shots to achieve, but sometimes this is necessary for a grand result. (Tripod, Flash EX580, Manual 1/10 sec, f16 iso 100) Traveller
