Dave it was me (Paul) that asked about the painted brick and I accidentally deleted my post later. I considered retyping it but thought na not worth it. I do appreciate your input on it and it’s exactly as I expected. As far as masking in PSE goes it’s very simple, not push a button automatic simple but easy non the less and I can give you step by step directions if needed. Do you know how to duplicate the background? Paul

Jim, when a dusting is all you can muster. Paul, was it you who asked about the painted brick? Yes, it's soft. It flakes the most from the chimney. The team who painted the house this past summer (the color was changed from green) prepped especially carefully there. I hope it helps. The second floor is one of those engineered materials (Hardy board?) that holds paint well. We had some of the wood trim replaced with another synthetic and are trusting that it will perform. Hope that answers the question that you (or whoever) asked. Dave
