13 Honor Flight

Green Valley, AZ

The National Guard and the Air Force teamed up today for an Honor Flight over the Tucson area to recognize the first responders and medical community who are fighting the Covid virus.
The planes were a long way away from me, and at the limit of my 400mm lens. Still nice to see.
I was shooting from our "compound" - took the golf cart to a new area devoid of new homes for now.

Re color - when I looked at the photo again the next day I saw a slight blue tint to the entire photo. I removed it.
This is a common problem in southern Arizona when shooting up. Our wide open skies with a bright sun, esp mid day, can be very blue, resulting in a lot of scattered blue light.

What was wrong with the color?

Very nice. You had a great perspective. There was a KC-135/A-10 tribute flight here on Wednesday, and I got some shots of the bottoms of the planes. One is posted in pending (https://pbase.com/image/170710925).

I always loved watching the highly maneuverable A10 aircraft fly over and was sad to see them leave when they moved them from Richards Gebauer air base in south KC many years back.

I like the treatment of a difficult shot...and the Warthogs. Traveller
