Sorry my bad, I guess I figure everyone knows what I know. Back in the early 1980’s I took classes to learn to service A/C systems. I don’t do that work anymore but still keep my 16 year old system charged and limping along. This is one of the manifold gauge sets I use to hook up to my air conditioning system.
My system uses Puron 410A and as you can see on the right gauge, the high pressure liquid line, is reading a saturation temp of 94 degrees F @ 290 PSI. What you can’t see is the digital thermometer connected to the liquid line which was reading 84F. Since the mfg (Lennox) calls for 8 +or- 1 degree of sub cooling my system is very close to the correct charge. It’s slightly over charged but it leaks plenty of refrigerant it’s not necessary to be right on target.
I’m going to try to inject another tube of Direct Inject Leak Stop to try and slow it down. I used 1 tube 2 years ago and it stopped the main leak I found but another one has since developed so I’ll give it another try.

Sir...! I keep looking at this, I see two on off valves on the lower left and right, but the gauges do not match at all...what is this, and what does it do? Thanks, Traveller
