08 Of Time and Tide

I feel a little odd posting this image...and the entire Series from Kauai has become kind of problematic much as Yellowstone images were difficult to do...while at Yellowstone, actually at the falls, a young girl fell to her death and we were all stuck there for a while, (there is the amusing story of my offering to Rappel down...hahahhaha...)
But here, a hundred yards to the right, a day after I shot this image, a woman fell to her death, see attached article.

My wife did not feel confident walking down to Queen's Bath, so I went without her (this was in 1996, pre-digital for me.
Waiting for me to return put her into panic mode. My keeping a respectful distance from every hazard didn't matter.

T - they are a bit better. They might clean up better, though, indicating more shot-noise component. The noise level is much better at ISO 100 with the 90D.
You probably could have used 1/500 sec here. ISO 800 should clean up quite well. It does with Lightroom.

Note that I think I can get away with 800iso...even in good light I need it for the Fstops and speed...

So I ask you Jim, is 800iso, or even 1600 better in the 90D as opposed to the 80D?

Thanks, T

A beautiful scene well captured.

And yes, life is strange. The older I get, the more strange things I see and experience. I also know that the older I get, I tend to pay closer attention to my surroundings. My reactions are slower, and my balance is not as good as it was 20-30 years ago - even though I try hard to convince myself otherwise.
