May 20th - and ice last night formed on the car. UGH.
It had rained all day, so lots of water drops.

Ooh, could we see some of that sparkly in Pending or elsewhere?

I was probably about a foot or so from the hood, looking down at about 45 deg. I shot f/16, as that needed a ISO of 10000 and I didn't want to go higher than that. I also wanted as long a DOF as possible, so I didn't try anything wider.
I tried a couple of shots with a flash, but the ice crystals just got too sparkly and bright for my taste.

Ice? That's just what I want to hear after our annuals have been planted.

Nice of Mother Nature to put a chill on after you've returned from Arizona.

How far from the car (boot or bonnet?) were you? Did you try wider apertures?

Yes - shot at f/16 with the sun just starting to light the sky. 80D noise is often pretty easy to deal with, and I used a bit of LR to take out the initial shot noise, and Topaz's AI Denoise to finish it up.
