Was cleaning really needed? Were flecks a photographic or housekeeping issue?

The white flecks are gone; the scratches remain. Jim

Are those flecks on the handle, or reflections of gouges and nicks? I'm not sure they need to be removed. Dave

Thanks all. Dave - I have taken down the tripod and table, but a quick estimate puts it at 42 inches. plus or minus some. Traveler - thanks; good eye. I'll get them cleaned. Probably some others as well. Jim

I especially like this...some clean up of white flecks on the knife handle could be done, but the elegant simplicity is good. Traveller
