I have a soft spot for old parents. My wife's father (who loved watches and cameras) passed away over the weekend. A picture of him taken with my Powershot S20 in 2002 accompanies his obituary.

I used to have 2 pocket watches around. One of them was given to me as a birthday present from my parents 40 or so years ago and I have no idea what ever happened to it. The 2nd one, when I was 10 or so I gave my dad a pocket watch for fathers day or something. It was pretty cheap since I had no job or budget, just what I earned mowing lawns or farm work help, anyway many many years later he gave it back to me. I was surprised he actually kept it but eventually I tossed it because it was a clunker junker!
