The Farm

view map

A scene I noticed just outside of Topeka Kansas on our way to Holton for Thanksgiving dinner with family. I struggled to get my phone out of my pocket and activate the camera app in time to capture the scene.

Everything you said makes it sounds more artistic (and makes me more impressed).

I got overly excited as I saw this scene developing in real time and knew I had to act fast to try and capture it. The time of day and light was just right and we had just pulled out of the toll booth off the Kansas turnpike so I had to be quick or it would be gone since that's not a place one wants to pull over and get out of the car to shoot a photo. If you click on the "View Map" feature you can see exactly where we were when I shot it.

You'll also notice there isn't a body of water right there either. The water and reflections were fabricated by me in photoshop since the highway, the reflective delineator signs and line stripping clearly detracted from the scene.

This is not a Monet, rather a style I found in the Glow section in Topaz Studio under the public tab. Problem is now I can't re-find the same effect or remember what it was called and I even saved it as a preset but it's gone so that means I jacked it up some way. Paul

This came out very well. Nicely seen, nicely captured and nicely processed.

Looks as if capturing the scene is where the fun began. A Monet conversion?
I really like this and imagine a scenery painter would be proud of such a result.
