I on occasion stop by our community gardens when I see the gate is open...various plots are assigned to people and they have keys and can go garden to their heart's content. Often there are people there and it is open on Saturday's and Sunday's.
Now here is the thing...I would never have taken this image without the Challenge pressing me to...do something. I was wandering and I said hello, and then she started explaining, in poor English, about these long, long beans...I grew up on a farm so I sort of understood all of this harvesting and how to break the bean from the stem....
And I asked to take her picture....she was wildly embarrassed but I persisted and then took this picture...she was very happy when I showed this to her.
This is not a great picture....but it is a great picture...certainly a great picture of her and of a fellow human being.
My whole time at the gardens was less than 15 minutes...
I love the Challenges....maybe people can understand a little why now.
