Dan-De-Lion (1st Place Tie)

Have a new monitor and everything looks very different, incredibly sharp and detailed (maybe too much) so let me know how this looks. I have run the calibration and it made a major shift from green but until I adjust to to it I wouldn't feel 100% comfortable.

Canon EOS 6D
1/60s f/4.5 at 100.0mm iso400 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Just when you think you understand how things work I find out I know jack. I copied the original to pending then I lifted the shadows slightly and uploaded the new version to eligible, it was a distinct difference between the two. Another oddity is the comments are posting to both eligible and pending so apparently somehow the two photos are connected at the hip. Paul

I can't see any difference between this one and the one in pending.

Looks great to me. Maybe I need my eyes checked?

Paul, this looks utterly stunning on my Samsung, just stunning on the problematic Dell...but still beautiful...I can't believe that this could look better on any monitor with even a hoard of professional studio people calibrating it for you...just fine. Traveller

The ticks, chiggers and grubs aren’t happy with the arrangements but the mosquitoes are thriving. Bees are loving our planting’s and flowering bushes, the birds... well if you could hear them you’d know they are as happy as a lark. The meadow lark is the state bird BTW! That brings us to the grey squirrels, and if it wasn’t for the neighbor two houses to the north, west and myself filling their ass’s with BB’s they’d be plenty happy too.
Termites are circling the property and experienced a substantial colony reduction last year and were properly warned that any future attempts will be dealt with swiftly and severely. I may have missed a few invaders but we’ll wrap this up with that carpenter bee I’ve seen scoping my patio cover lately. If he finally takes a liking to the place and goes to work he also will learn about the power of the chemical. Paul

How's that lawn treatment treating the local wildlife, native plants, area waterways, etc? Better living through chemistry isn't always true for everything that encounters it.

Since my lawn is treated I have no weeds.... (Ok, I have a few small weeds until I find my Roundup anyway) but to find this dandelion I Walked down the street to the small neighborhood park where they are abundant, thriving and multiplying. Who knows I may go back for more and do a reshoot. Paul

No! They'll spread!

Jim you were right so I brought up the shadows a bit. Still getting used to the different look and brightness. This monitor is a 4K Samsung and 28 inches over the previous 24 inch that was 9 years old. Original is in pending. Paul

On my Dells, this image looks fine. The white seeds from the flower look nice and sharp, but not too much. Your DOF is small, as you probably wanted.
But this is only a 800x1000 px image, so it is tough to see the detail you might be concerned with.

The greens are not in the bright light, but look ok to me.
