Amber Trail Tie 1st

Just playing around with a found scene and not really a serious entry.
I had just loaded the dishwasher and was preparing to close it when I noticed the tea drops on the inside of the door and knew I had to shoot it. As you might guess there is some photo enhancement.

Canon EOS 6D
1/20s f/5.6 at 100.0mm iso800 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

My laptop is WIN 10...I guess I am okay with it, but I only use it for surfing and writing in WordPerfect 6...it frustrate me at times...but tiggle (a just made up word) with it and wn10 will eventually reveal itself to you. (but remember, it is the tiggling that is important!) Traveller

Please feel free to change the title. I wouldn't thought about mutant cells had I not seen your image.

I'll probably need a new computer this year. Fewer desktop choices should make it easier. Costco is a strong possibility.

Since W10 is so different it’s been a very slow process but thankfully the printer, Excel and outlook installed problem free. With a ton of googling I discovered where W10 keeps the outlook data files so now my outlook customer contact list and email accounts are fully functional. Whew!! Next Up is the Camera software and photoshop and download Topaz again then maybe I’ll be back in business. Paul

Paul - you will quickly get used to it. I just tweaked all the privacy areas, and then moved on. You don't need to use everything new - certainly not the first time through, and certainly not at all if you don't want to. I now have it on 5 computers. I neither love it or hate it, similar to Win 7. It is simply a tool to tun my other programs.

But MS has done a very fine job of running almost all my Win 7 programs on Win 10. Just one of their backups didn't work, and I replaced it with comething better.

In one word, familiarity, I feel like I’m flying blind in a squall line. I’ve been using W7 through 3 computers since it first came out in 2009 and have felt it was the best OS ever and still do. Maybe I’m just stuck in a rut and don’t want to adapt. I’m installing software and moving data and after that’s done I’ll work on tweaking and adapting to make it work as much as possible to W7. Google search here I come!! Paul

What is you thoroughly dislike Paul? I actually don't mind it. After a few tweaks mine looks and operates like Windows 7. I do quite like the quick access section in Windows Explorer.

I can already tell I throughly dislike Windows 10. Paul

I think you will like it.

I did stop in Costco today and picked up the Dell 8930 for $999.00. Doesn’t have a M.2 drive installed but the MB supports M.2 so I can add that in anytime I want and I’m guessing that could be real soon. Paul

Seems to be a very serious entry as far as I'm concerned. I love it.

As far as business use goes the photos are the least use. Billing, book keeping, emailing, faxing, proposals and paying monthly state sales and use taxes which has to be done electronically. I also do job estimating by PC but that is another older 32 bit machine since the estimating software I use is a DOS program which isn't supported in 64 bit machines. Geeze I hope that old sucker doesn't die! Paul

Me too!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Computing power is a real strain on my machine (s)...I have been looking at a Dell for $849.00 at Costco...next sale I may snag one.

I have built one at Dell for $749.99, or maybe....just struggle on.

But yes, it most certainly is fully deductible as a business expense! (provided you use it at least somewhat for business...I take pictures necessary for work, as I am sure you do also {since you post them...lol})

My big problem is new software (?) and insuring that I can still use 15 years back of document files.....such doth make cowards of us all

Traveller (but I love this image)

Mutant dividing cells, oooh I like that and would have made a great title.

The door is stainless steel but the color variation is due to a trip through Topaz studio. I don’t remember which action I choose but it added plenty of clarity and vignette. By the way, for those of you that might not know Topaz studio is free and offers a fair amount of adjustments. Naturally they are hoping you’ll buy the pro packs to add to the package but the base model is free and very functional. If you own any of the Topaz products that the studio uses it will automatically add them to it after you sign in with your Topaz account. Fair warning, it does require a fairly potent computer. My 5 year old core I5 3rd gen pc with a SSD is on the lower threshold of being powerful enough. I keep trying to talk myself into a trip to Costco for a new pc with a 8th gen I7 and M.2 drive. It’s a business write off right?? Paul

What color is your dishwasher's door? Is that stainless steel darkened?

Looks like cells dividing. Mutants? I think I'll re-watch The Andromeda Strain.

Science Fiction time! This is very good...and looking particularly dangerous! Traveller
