Baby ducks are like the food source of the birds of prey.
I seen lots of eagles and owls feeding them to their young.

Very nice Dave! This reminds that the other day the wife and I were walking on a trail around a lake and there was a mother duck on the water but only 2 ducklings were with her which is odd since we usually see 6 to 8. I figured the others didn't survive for some odd reason. Paul

The lens on the Sony is a 8.8 - 220mm lens.
8.8 is equal to 24mm, the 220 is equal to 600mm.
Kind of the crop sensor thing. I don't know why it doesn't do the conversion.
The Sony uses the newer "Stacked" sensor, the Panasonic uses a Sony Sensor, but it's a generation back.
I've heard that the sensors image wise, are the same, the stacked sensor pushes data through quicker.

I don't have the FZ2500, but I do have the FZ1000.
Without a doubt, the Panasonic focuses faster and better, but that's not to say the Sony is poor. It's pretty good also.
For me, the Sony has the reach, it has, again to me, better colors.
The Panasonic is much more programable. (buttons so you almost never have to go into the menus)

The thought of me leaving Canon...is seeping in, slowly, maybe yes...

Why would you say the Lumina might be better than the Sony? I thought the Sony sensor was supposed to be the best out there right now...No? is the Lumina comparable?

I looked in your Galleries and the longest shot seems to be 220? Is Flicker just reading the data wrong? I can't conceive of ever needing 600mm focal length...but you never know.

I will research both camera's thanks!

Really.

Look at this one also, the Panasonic FZ2500. Has a few things the Sony doesn't,
but for me, it doesn't have enough zoom. (600 on the Sony, 480 on the Panasonic)
