Trav, I love the idea of the all-in-one camera, but for some things it can't hold a candle to a DSLR with a good lens. These cameras right now, have no business trying to take sport shots or something like a bird in flight shot. That said, if your subject isn't moving to much, it can work pretty well. The deer rut should be upon us soon. I'm looking forward to hiking though the park in search for the bucks. I'm very interested to how it does under those conditions. I may even bring my 6D with the Sigma 150-600 along to compare the shots at the end of the day. I'd really like to get rid of a lot of my DSLR stuff, but I don't think these cameras are quite good enough yet. Who knows, maybe one day soon they will be.
Dear Dave: You are getting such great use out of this camera, I looked it up...the 24~600 range seems extraordinary...in your hands, in mime, probably mud....lol
