Rolling Iceberg

Cierva Cove, Antarctica

An iceberg the size of a house took just over a minute to roll ninety degrees and demonstrated the well-worn adage that much of it resides underwater.

This is fantastic. What a great sequence.
And the 4-square makes a perfect way to show it off.

It was smooth and silent. I didn't even realize I had captured it rolling until I was back on the ship looking at my images. Icebergs that broke before or while rolling were more dramatic. One just off Danco Island gave us quite a show. I was hiking up a steep path when it snapped and rolled so only caught the aftermath. Dave

Quite interesting!! When it went in the water did it create a nasty wave and rock your raft? From the photos it don't appear as tho it did. Paul
