Thanks Dave. The Southern Cross is just outside the frame here. If you feel like having a look, I uploaded another shot, taken the same night, to Pending, in which the Southern Cross is visible. Regards, Michael

Nice shot. I'm desperately looking for the southern cross.

Thanks Paul. What colour there is comes from the lights of Melbourne reflected off the partial overcast. There's a texture there that isn't apparent in the same shot viewed on my computer screen, so maybe PBase has done something to it (although the original is quite noisy - the EM1 is known for very noisy long exposures).
Regards
Michael

I also thought there might be a treatment on it. There are a lot of things I like about this but the first thing that catches my eye is the subtle turning aircraft. Paul

Thanks Traveller. I can't take much credit for the appearance. It's pretty much how it came out of the camera, with some noise reduction applied. Regards, Michael

What a wonderful treatment...like on a silver nitrate plate...now, but also like photography 100 years ago! Best Wishes, Traveller
